@thomas I actually gave my little sister a decent tool box the Christmas after she moved out. It has all the tools she needs which are in order and a powered screwdriver. I got my brothers in so I could afford decent stuff for her.

Probably the best and most useful present I made to this day.

@thomas I got a toolbox with some basic tools for my 8th birthday. I only got rid of it a couple of years ago as it got so rusty I could no longer open it. My Dad offered to take it back for a refund. It was over 30 years old.

@inanedirk when I moved out my Dad upgraded some of the tools in my toolbox. And I could definitely use it! It's the best thing a Dad can do when you move out.

I never got any of this from my dad, not the knowledge to use them properly. I was taught to use the right tool for the job, but not what tools to use for what jobs. I had to figure it all out for myself (thank you, YouTube).

That being I said, I strongly agree with what you're saying.
