@arstechnica this is the Google way. Product launch. In beta. Then retired. The company is incapable of committing to and finishing a product. How long was Gmail in beta?

I thought about going all-in on that feature for my grocery list once they announced the second change. Glad I didn't!

Stuff like this is a big part of why I've been actively trying to migrate most of my day-to-day activities off of Google platforms.

@arstechnica Google assistant can ask my Poco X3 to start a timer with the MIUI provided app... Click the "View timers" it will refuse to do it.
Ask it to show you the time it goes to the app...
Bad UX.

@kcivey @arstechnica works 99% of the time on my Nest Hub. Admittedly sometimes I can barely even get out the word stop at 6am so it doesn't always get me, but that's rare.
