I thought the exact same thing when I first saw that... But I do appreciate it for anime though, those intros go on for literally 2 to 3 minutes, no matter how good they are that's a lot to sit through for the seventh time.
@Chrishallbeck I've seen complaints about it somewhere. My opinion on the matter is that if people don't want to watch what you made, you didn't do your job properly. I'll watch it once, but if it's longer than 15 seconds, it better be rewarding in some way if I am to watch it again. An example of a title sequence that is both long and fun to watch is that of Good Omens.
@Chrishallbeck on one hand, Game of Thrones won awards for their title sequence, on the other hand, nobody watched it more than once, it just went on and on. Truly it was the books, fractally.
But I always want to sit through movie credits, especially for a movie I enjoyed, because it seems rude not to.

I dunno about that. I thought there were many different GoT opening sequences, depending on which locations appeared in that episode. I think people watched it many times.
