Tor dealt with the situation, cult of the dead cow cut ties with Appelbaum but CCC seems unable to face up to the need to protect people from known predators.
@realhackhistory Dingledine is right there. Frank and Linus can just ask Roger what he saw with his own eyes and heard with his own ears. That alone is enough for a ban.

There is a whole segment of the community that supports him and is just waiting for it all to blow over still. I am reminded of this on rare occasions I speak with my ex and he nane-drops, thinking I will think it is cool he is still meeting with him.
@realhackhistory@reconbot and that's what we call "negative peace". it's a huge thing in fandom spaces, sadly. also known as "cause no drama" or "the person who pointed out the problem is the problem". it's extremely vile.
@philpem@reconbot reminds me of party scenes when I was much younger, predators were allowed to prosper in the rave subculture because of connections and status.
