@gruber LinkedIn is one of the major websites that I consider actively user hostile. Reddit, Xitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Google search results, and Quora (as much as Quora can be considered “major”).
@gruber the number one reason I can’t wait to get back to being gainfully employed is not for the steady paycheck or the sense of accomplishment. It’s just so I don’t feel compelled to check LinkedIn regularly and can return to only checking it once a year (at most).
@gruber I logged in for the first time in years the other day to look at someone’s bio and now I’m being sent emails with stats about my job role. I knew logging back in was a bad idea.
🤮
@gruber Yep, the LinkedIn website has a really hostile looking UI and UX 🤣 I mostly use the mobile apps for LinkedIn which are usually a little less in your face.
@gruber The greatest thing to ever happen to me on LinkedIn, was connecting with Michael Cohen the day after he was indicted, and then messaging him and having him reply that “thousands of people” would say he’s a great guy.
@gruber When a friend wants to connect with me on that site, I open it for the 3 seconds it takes to accept their request then immediately close the tab.
@gruber the funniest part about linked in is if I check it once every few months, I immediately get emails telling me I'm on a roll on linkedin. Yeah, I'm really on a roll, linkedin.
