The often inappropriate rictus grin, the catch in the voice, the mini-cleavage tease, #britt was so stilted and amateurish, I couldn’t stop watching!
She offered no policies, and dissembled about the bipartisan immigration bill she helped write, because her party’s leader demanded that more victims of trafficking suffer the tortures she so graphically described.
Ps — a moment of low comedy was when she said her colleagues “strongly support continued nationwide access to in vitro fertilization.” Wut? Which colleagues would those be — the Democratic ones?
Didn’t watch but strategically, if you’re going to give a SOTU rebuttal from your kitchen, in the 21st century, as a mom, it woulda been better to take stance of moms being multi-taskers & she should have been mopping the floor, stopping her teenagers from arguing at the same time being laser-focused on a speech that should have mopped the floor of the Dems- at least it wouldn’t have had the patronizing Leave it to Beaver optics. That said, glad she sucked it.
