@MartinEscardo For so long as we entrust the decisions about where to spend that money to capitalists, it makes sense they would invest in the thing that they can own (and the assholes telling them AGI can exist are enabling that decision).

It's a funny saying, but US child education expenditure per year is way bigger than machine learning expenditure per year.
The US spends almost a trillion dollars per year on K-12 education, not including preschools.

@StompyRobot @MartinEscardo I came here to say this, glad someone else immediately saw how absurd this claim is. Not to mention all the tuition money sent to universities, above and beyond the huge loan amounts.

Clearly, not enough to avoid the OP’s innumeracy.
