@EighthLayer@UKFilmNerd my brother's wedding last year was alright. We got these absolutely huge bread rolls and a bucket load of beef and chips and sauces.
Simple but effective. I ate too much and then didn't want to run around after the kids anymore....but it was worth it.
@EighthLayer It wasn't a wedding but the best food I ever had was an anniversary I think. A huge, shallow silver bowl, maybe 1.5m in diameter, filled with chips and cut up sausage. The proper stuff from a fish & chip shop. You picked up a paper cone and helped yourself. I didn't stray far from the bowel and felt incredibly full up for some reason...
At mine and my wife’s wedding, we had a BBQ that you could help yourself too. People said they really enjoyed that compared to what you’d normally get.
@EighthLayer I have had to go to a few for my wife's friends. They are always so awkward. Events like that make me really wish that devices like the Steam Deck were more socially acceptable. Unfortunately you'll just look like a jerk gaming the whole time, but scrolling on your phone and ignoring most people is fine for some reason.
