Case in point:

The argument usually goes that increasing standards of living always results in decreased birth rate. An inverse correlation.

But... the US standard of living declined from 2010 to 2020, and the birth rate also declined. Positive correlation.

Because the teen birth rate is correlated with teens having "information and choice," not "standard of living."

Folks think that higher standard of living always correlates with info and choice, but this is not true.
