@3dogcouch When this happened one of my brothers, a Kent State freshman, was on the campus, while another brother, a US Marine, was in the jungles of Vietnam. I was far away from both of them. There was nothing I could do. My heart was shattered, anxiety through the roof.
Recently, seeing police response to protests, my thoughts have turned to that horrific day.
It's nearly May 4th again. Kent State will commemorate the 54th anniversary of the massacre next week. #NeverAgain #KentState

I was a new mom with toddler twins, learning what an asshole my Republican father-in-law was as he cheered on the enforcers that awful spring. I’d never been around Republicans before.
