@kat@Memewrangler I assume the clown-in-chief was annoyed that people were dunking on him but he couldn’t see it or something. Or his fash buddies were mildly inconvenienced when stalking their exes.
I definitely hope this doesn't come across as "what took you so long?", because you're probably going to get a few of those, but I would appreciate it if you could give some thought to, and answer, "what did Twitter have that Mastodon lacks, that kept you going there?".
It could be as simple as "switching is a pain", or "not enough cat videos" (which is what keeps one of my friends on insta).
Because if it's things we can fix, they're worth knowing.
@jztusk No, you don't come across that way at all... and I've been transitioning to here for a while, but you're right, there are a few things that call you back.
One is just a resistance to be "run off", as that's how it feels with the machinations there. Another is simple inertia, finding time to rebuild a presence elsewhere. There are some users/content that are hard to find here, example being live tweeting of the current Trump trial.
Those sound sensible. I will say that for the last one, follow @GottaLaff . She follows multiple live-tweeters on the trials, and gives us up-to-the-minute details. And also has a cute dog.
