My main dev machine has 192GB of RAM (Skylake-based Xeons so 6 memory channels per socket)

But then I have a bunch of VMs on the Xen box running various browsers and electron apps (social media has 8GB, mail 6GB, online banking 3GB, general browsing 16GB, messaging apps 6GB). So that's 231G combined, which isn't far behind.

And I am only running four messaging applications.

Can we get some of these services to release not-bloatware native clients? Plz?

@whitequark @ktemkin I mean official clients, or at least "we don't have a history of banning accounts if we catch them using third party clients" (looking at you, discord)

@whitequark @ktemkin My understanding is that they ban anyone they catch using a third party client. How hard they look is another question.

But their ToS allows them to and I've heard of it happening (not ripcord in particular).

So for now I just run the official client in a VM.
