In less than 24 hours, Black people have lost the right to EQUAL EDUCATION, gay people specifically, but all people at large, who any old fucking homophobe, racist or antisemite BUSINESS owner wants TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST against can, and young people who ARE NOT WEALTHY have LOST the RIGHT TO A DECENT FINANCIAL FUTURE.
yeah, but we knew this when trump packed the court, this isn't a surprise. the surprise is that only 50% of eligible voters ages 18 to 24 voted in the last general election
@StillIRise1963 I wonder if there are off shore bank accounts being loaded up to pay them, financed by Leonard Leo and co. They just did what they were “hired” to do. The church of the extreme court is corrupt and vile.
@kataklysm@StillIRise1963 Violence in my view is a very last resort but fuck shit up. Resist, sabotage, hack, unionize, organize, do everything but violence. It gives us the moral high ground (like we need it I know). Still if it came to it & I had to defend myself or others I would fuck them up.
In the meantime super glue locks, plant gardens, haunt the dreams of fascists. Boycott everything. Follow your bliss & your rage.

My friend is also against rioting and property destruction, I’m not in the appropriate circumstances.
@kataklysm@StillIRise1963 Property doesn't have feelings. I don't think wild rioting is the answer because so many people are caught in the crossfire. Careful, systematic destruction of symbols has an enormous amount of power though.
Here in the UK in Bristol a huge group of people tore down the statue of a slaver & threw it in the river. No people were hurt, no private property (like small businesses) was damaged but it stuck.

@kataklysm@StillIRise1963 It's not an easy answer, it really isn't. Moral complexity is something that evil doesn't have to wrangle with. It's why they often seem to have the advantage.
@StillIRise1963 it absolutely is, and this is what I was afraid of when I stopped talking to my Trump voting parents like 7 years ago. They didn't believe me when I told them Bannon was a white supremacist (and Trump clearly is too, his dad was KKK of course). It's so fucked. Don't know how to unfuck. Countries built on slavery is one thing but then to reverse any advances like this, and so fast.. I just can't. How to stop the ignorance and fascism.
@StillIRise1963 absolutely agree. Never liked it and never will. It's a losing mindset - and it's so linked in to greed and capitalism and everything else that's blowing it on this finite planet. Hell, the crap is taught in schools. That's where a lot of the problems start, too.

@jcrabapple@StillIRise1963 there is ALWAYS the ability to boycott businesses which discriminate against people on the basis of who they are. This shit will fly only in the rural places. No business like this would survive in a major city.
