@jeffjarvis Same. Having said that, I have trouble using any app that is not made for tablets (which is the device for close to 100% of my social media usage).
@jeffjarvis First impressions of Thread are not positive - a torrent of low-value posts, and no way to control what you want to see. This is said to be coming, but overall experience still much better here.
@jeffjarvis I will be forced to try it just out of curiosity, but I'm looking to get rid of Zuckerberg and his tracking devices, I mean software, not add more. 🤪 Twitter, gone! Check! Next: I'm hoping. So I have no intention of adopting it as a main tool, no matter what. People complain about Tik-Tok. I mean, what could Tik-Tok do to us that Facebook hasn't already done?
@jeffjarvis I’m really hoping that they federate. I’d love to have access to all the future of media influencers and news brands that will end up there from within the much more pleasant environment here.
@Chanders@jeffjarvis same - I have no desire to put a Meta app on my device (none have ever touched this phone) and no interest in a feed that cannot be chronological or only follows by design
