@maxkennerly add to the list no protections from hate speech. One of the people I follow on there has already been subjected to hate speech and reported it to Meta. Meta’s response was they could either block or mute the account.

@maxkennerly if i started threads the first thing i would do is undo all that shit the second thing i would do is create a button to downvote all the worst brands the third thing i would do is surface the WORST of those brands. This way people could see the society weve created

@maxkennerly I logged in out of curiosity and quicky left. There's a message when you first log on stating how you can follow people from Mastodon and it really sadened me. Sometime soon II'll be switching to an instance that pledged they will not federate with Meta. There are so many of them it will take me some time to decide which one.
