So, here is what I'm trying to do to .

  1. Servicing the issue queue for ActivityPub and Activity Stream 2.0 on GitHub on a weekly basis.

  2. Documenting patterns in the Activity Streams 2.0 primer, and hopefully doing the same for ActivityPub.

  3. Sharing architectural essays on my blog. I've got two lined up: end-to-end encryption and account portability.

  4. Building https://cosocial.ca/ .

  5. Expressing myself here. Bringing people here.

  1. Documenting our experience at Cosocial making a coop.

  2. Helping the AP/AS2 extension-writing process.

  3. Getting the SWICG back to regular meetings. ✅

Mostly, I'd like to do what I can to unblock the incredible developer energy happening in this network.

I think that's the way I can be most helpful and where my limited time can go to greatest effect.

After that, making federated software, and having my social life here.

I have a full-time job fighting climate change, am in graduate school for CS, and have a family with two teen kids that I really want to see.

But I love this network and want it to succeed.

@evan I know that as my kids have grown older, and my work has grown more demanding, I have spent less time focused on what I can do for society. I am not sure what that says about me.

@evan Update Identica for ActivityPub? I would really look like an ancient beast to some of Mastodon’s“old-timers” if that happened. That might not be a bad thing, though.

I think the exciting part of AS2 is building extensions for specific areas, like playing games.
