It has to be some form of portmanteau. Rexit is the obvious one. But it could be retreatit or redreat. Possibly a rexpiration or revacuation. Rexpiry. Redeath. Redemise. Rextinction. Rextermination. RIP Reddit
Not sure all the new people migrating here now remember the digg debacle but to me it sounds very familiar. Anyway, glad people are following the rexxit.
it got mainstreamed, that was the downfall. when all the instathots and the crying twitter people realized that reddit is a top 10 social media platform and they got there to advertise their garbage, it fell down and slowly died.
.social media should be fun, and sometimes hurt. this platform feels a bit like the good times, cause the toxic people cant bother to go where they wont get enough attention

Eh, I mean, the influx of creators had some benefit too, you know. Depends on what you wanted out of Reddit though. If you were there primarily for the semi/fully nude people on the nsfw side, I’m sure nobody really complained of the increase in content. (As long as those creators weren’t just boring 500 subs with the same picture and an of link, of course…)
Reddit clearly is in a difficult position having to cope with commercial realities. However the completely ham-fisted way they have managed communication around this is really something spezial. You have to put quite a bit of work in handle it this badly.
