my brother still used them and got all of the tapes and players family members were getting rid of. He retired and is sorta a nomad now so got rid of most of his worldly possesions. Sometime in the late teens likely.
I can't imagine it was any later than 2005 at the very latest and even that seems unlikely!
These people that watch VHS ... You talking home movies that the only copy is on VHS or people actually just popping in a VHS of Jurassic Park and watching it‽
a client of mine really, really needs to update their security tapes to DVR… they had incident that they can’t get useful tapes from because the constant reuse of tapes has degraded their quality. (I know previously we’ve had that chat about… ‘yes it’s expensive but the modern systems are much better’. fortunately they’re now deciding its time to fork over for an overhaul.)(If you were curious, a delivery guy rear ended the owner’s BMW. funny how that works)
