No they wouldn’t. Because the Orange Turd would tell them that it’s okay and to just go with it.

So. He didn’t actually hit Johnson?

Too bad. Chode has it coming.

Wait…. They’re still charging for something that absolutely does not exist?

Or are you saying Tesla’s come with a frame shift drive?!

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Because you’re doing it wrong?

For business correspondence,

It’s all right-aligned:

[your name]
[your position]
[your company]
[company address, and successive lines have other contact details]
[empty line or two]
[their details, if you know them. “To whom it may concern” if you don’t.]
[empty lines again]. [the message. Be concise but informative. Even a little terse.]
[some empty lines.]
[parting instructions like “please call if you have questions]
[post salutation]
[signature]

The post salutation is something bland and generic like “Thank you”, or “with regards” or “kindly,” anything more assumes a relationship that’s not there.

For emails, your contact info usually goes below the signature, and frequently you omit their contact details. You can omit more and get more terse the better you know someone in emails.

The letters used to be laid out like that because usually there would be a mail clerk or assistant that would open them and read them first, in a large company; and that way if the envelope gets lost you don’t have to wonder who it’s for. Emails… well… you already sent it directly there.

Just as long as you’re not missing anything important. Trust me, as long as you’re both complete and concise, they’ll thank you.

Well, emails are less formal, so that’s fine.

Keep in mind…. Things like eviction notices…. Being nice comes off… creepy. “Hello! Get the fuck out! Sincerely,” just… ya know?

Most of my emails people don’t actually read. They just open the attachments and get to what they need right off.

Also… this guide is like… 30+yo typist etiquette. Emails were barely a thing back then.

Oh look. We supported a genocidal government ran by a maniac…. And that maniac is starting ww3….

GRAT JOB!

Wrong. Very wrong.

They want you to think that so you don’t report them.

They are obligated to provide a safe working environment- under federal law. That’s true for every single state and US territory.

All “right to work” really means is that you get to quit at any time and they get to fire you at any time.

The exception to that is in retaliation for complaining or reporting safety hazards (they also can’t fire you for being a protected class etc.)

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

The only people that are surprised by this are the people they bribed.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Pretty much, yeah.

FuglyDuck,

Give a slow blink just before you start. They lose instantly… if they like you.

FuglyDuck,

Trump doesn’t pay his bills.

they should have just started seizing properties already.

The privilege of being perceived as rich.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Perception is not based on reality.

In any case he technically owns millions/billions in assets, but it’s very likely that he’s lived by taking out loans on capital gains, and that every tangible asset he has is already leveraged as collateral for that.

Which means none of his properties are actually able to serve as collateral in a bond agreement (where whatever company puts up the cash and deals with the hassle of selling and maybe not getting enough to cover it. So they usually take more in collateral.)

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

I’d rather it be a crapshoot. Not that I’d be overly upset at Cheney getting shot too.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Considering that they use captive raised pheasants and have people scare them up so rich fucks can shoot them?

They probably don’t even need the golf cart.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Well, it’s not quite a porn star pay off.

That’s what started it, and allowed what’s-their-name to bring it as a felony instead of a misdemeanor.

the business fraud is usually a misdemeanor, but because he committed the banking fraud to cover up another crime (the campaign finance laws,) that elevates it to a felony.

House Votes to Extend—and Expand—Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, a Major US Spy Program (www.wired.com)

After months of delays, false starts, and interventions by lawmakers working to preserve and expand the US intelligence community’s spy powers, the House of Representatives voted on Friday to extend Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) for two years....

You’re being both pedantic and wrong.

It’s a SUV EV whose drivers (so far as I can tell) are just as bad as tesla drivers.

something about paying 120k+ for a truck that’s not built by an actual car company.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Nobody is taking a 90k luxury truck camping- sorry. The interior would be ruined after a single fishing trip, nevermind actually going off onto dirt roads (or no-roads,)

These are being sold to city-dwellers that want to convince people they’re not city dwellers. (Same as the trucks you mentioned.)

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Mud, sand rocks from wading, etc.

Unless you’re talking about taking kids off a pier, fishing is not a clean sport.

Chewie got his reward later that night.

And according to the counter suit, carol is allowed to call him a rapist.

Remember, you don’t have to be convicted of rape to be a rapist, you are not innocent and then magically guilty. It is merely a presumption of innocence until proven so, but that’s a procedural thing to prevent the courts from infringing on rights. It has absolutely nothing to do with the true facts of guilt.

It’s not defamation.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Nope. I sincerely believe Trump is a rapist.

That’s not defamation because I have good reason to believe that.

Remember, the presumption of innocence is not a matter of fact- it’s an assumption that dictates procedural principles until it is in fact proven. But, if you rape some one… your a rapist. Period.
