Praise for City of Ember
It was just in the 2000s when this sci-fi dystopian thriller was released, but you may have to watch it soon before it disappears forever.

shortwavesurfer, Or maybe, you know, read the book since any movie adaptation of anything is always worse.
brianstorms, (edited ) It got (quite unfairly imho) generally negative-to-horrible reviews and it did astoundingly bad box office in the US, but I really liked the film when I saw it during its original, brief theatrical run and in fact have been thinking of rewatching it again after all these years. Heck, it’s got Bill Murray!
I don’t understand this blog piece. There’s nothing in the actual article which explains why time is running out to see this film. (Feels like clickbait.)
maniacalmanicmania, It’s a great little film. I imagine younger kids would love it. Not many live action films for children around these days (I think). Friends and I must have watched it on DVD back in the day. Not a kid among us and we all still enjoyed it.
