Update for my Threads folks:
#Twitter is getting more unusable by the day. I completely get why people don’t want to be there.
I’m going to stay on Twitter through the 2024 election for get out the vote purposes, and if something hasn’t drastically improved by that point, #Threads will be my permanent social media home.
When I say “via” it means I’m quoting the person. Angry is saying this, not me.
FYI, I’m on all platforms until everyone lands in one place. I prefer it here and it’s by far my most active account. But I need to follow journalists/threads/breaking news, so I dip in and out of other places and share the stories here.
Fun Fact: your posts made me realize I hadn't checked in on any of my Threads links (it's just a web site, even if you're not signed-in) and long story short I actually came across Angry Staffer's account on threads
They were replying to some trolls on some completely unrelated topic and I thought "Hey!"
Don't know that I'll check it often, but it's nice to find something of value on Threads
And he is one of the best Xitter accounts to follow. In truth, I respect his ability to put up with the endless B.S. Xitter throws at people (think monkeys and feces).
@GottaLaff I had to re-read it to understand because I don’t know “angry staffer” and up to now I thought that would be anonymous people you’re quoting from. Today I Learned “Angry Staffer” is actually a twitter account 🙈
Angry Staffer is one of the good guys. You don’t like that he chose Threads, I totally get that. But I don’t need to read attacks on him for doing that. Everyone has reasons for why they choose a platform. I prefer Mastodon myself, but so what?

@GottaLaff@KayVay Something I've found helpful when quoting someone else is to use actual quotation marks (what a concept! 😉), and/or to indent the first line of every quoted paragraph by hitting the space bar a few times – that alerts people ("Look! There's something unusual about this part!") and differentiates it from what I wrote about the quoted material (the attribution and my comments about it). It helps avert confusion, especially if it's something easily misconstrued like this one.
@GottaLaff it's almost like those people who see a villainous television personality in public, and cannot discern the actor from their character and begin hurling scathing comment at them.
It's a microcosm of our society, at large.
Definitely not exclusive to political affiliation. 🤦🏽♂️
Angry was a staffer in the WH with amazing insights and regular posts who really help people thru all kinds of things. He’s sharp as a tack and 2 steps ahead, usually right about what he posts.
People depend on him. His leaving Twitter would be huge.
@GottaLaff lol that didn't go well. Glad to hear AS is setting a deadline for departure. And thanks for being willing to sift thru all the sludge to give us the few gems remaining on the turdbird ❤️
What about Mastodon, then? I heard Threads was not all that cool? I really do not know about Threads though? I refuse to support META formally X, I mean Facebook.
Thanks I miss understood as I read it fast and accept my apology. The fact I have no idea who Angrystaffer is and will keep it that way seems prudent? Angry Staffer Has 11 K followers, when I looked it up?
