Hm. DavidLat reports that two of Judge 's clerks quit before the end of their clerkships.

The reasons for the departures are unclear, though it appears that one clerk possibly exited for family-related reasons.

But it's highly unusual for clerks to quit mid-clerkship

Cannon has shown herself to be inept. Given her contempt for Jack Smith et al in court, I can imagine her behaviour at work might be rather immature/nasty. Not totally buying the "family issue" explanation. A coverup is also a proven excuse for shenanigans. Not saying that happened, but it can't be ruled out.

I am sure Cannon and staff are innocent of such things. Maybe.

Or perhaps her office is now overstuffed with Trump loyalists. It seems to be a trend.

Prior mortgages on properties won’t prevent Tish James from trying to collect on them. But some of those loans are bigger than appreciated. Take Axos Bank’s loans to Trump for Trump Tower’s commercial portion and the Doral course.

Both loans are listed as “over $50 million” on Trump’s August 2023 Office of Government Ethics disclosure. But, according to WaPo, those loans are for $100 million and $125 million respectively.

The nice thought is that when James gets what she wants, Trump will be exposed as a bad businessman drowning in debt, essentially broke, and barely a millionaire (which should be hammered home to his aspirational MAGAts). Trump is a Loser.

Your suffering is not unique to you, whatever you're going through someone else has to. Feelings of depression, loneliness, isolation, or just feeling different are universal.

If you feel like people aren't understanding or empathizing it's either because you are not telling them about the real you, or they are choosing not to treat you like a complicated feeling person.

In my experience, most people are not that deep and that's why therapists are sorely needed.

Suffering may not be unique but the person is. The only way to feel not alone in your suffering is for someone to sit with you, listen, and acknowledge it. The fact that others suffer similarly really has little meaning.

BTW, I doubt that feeling different is universal.

You ask good questions.

You must talk to a lot of interesting outliers.

As a rule, to feel different one has to have a sense of alienation and often look or behave differently from some societal/tribal norm.

Most people are happy to conform, cannot appreciate uniqueness, and some feel entitled to let you know that you're not doing it right.

The world would not be in such a state if everyone felt different; there would be no 'other'. I am an idealist.

I happened to tune in when Jamie Raskin was up. He ignored Hur and bolstered Biden in SOTU, showed the many occasions Biden's speech and behaviour belied Hur's lies and basically made a stump speech. He tore down Hur's weaselly edifice of calumny. Passionately.

It was very cool.

She's a lousy photographer. If the changes indicated are real, then I don't understand her need to manipulate areas that don't need manipulation, like placement of hands. It's also airbrushed to hell. But her eyes show she's on heavy meds.

No, people are largely counting on the guardrails to work. It is not unreasonable to think that those indictments would make a difference. But that is not an expectation of being "saved". That's a ridiculous assumption. Of course, there are always airy fairy types but that is not the majority, IMO.

Considering their arrogant interference in the election by slow walking the immunity issue, the most monumental issue at hand, there is no hope, IMO, that they do the right thing. Ever.

I'm no longer living in hope where SCOTUS is concerned. They view themselves as monarchs now and that was the last straw.
