Just too much negativity out of the other social media places. Lots of ads and I don't really trust Elon and Mark.

Did not want to keep managing tons of social media places.

@Player1MGA I feel a bit bad about deleting my 2009 Twitter account so I will probably leave it for now, but generally speaking I think modern social media is extremely bad for our health. Addiction to views and retweets, engagement metrics, … I am not even scratching the surface here. We DON’T NEED social media in our lives.

If you ask me I would go back to IRC. However, Fediverse might be the next best thing.

The times have definitely changed in social media. I deleted my original Twitter account a long time ago. The one I just deleted I only had for a few years. They same with the other ones. Didn't feel too bad.

I miss the days of AOL Instant Messenger and IRC. haha

Those brought back some memories. I remember having visitor counts at the bottom of websites too. haha. I was a big fan of netscape for my browser.
