It started bc a Black security guard told some white boaters they couldn’t leave their boat docked where it was. The white boys beat up the Black guard, and then all hell broke lose w/ Black bystanders coming to the guard’s aid.
Then it got worse.

According to #Alabama#Republicans, it would be #unconstitutional for them to draw a #map with two majority-black districts, as ordered by the #court, and upheld by the #SCOTUS because such #redistricting would be on the basis of #race. But those same Republicans claim it's totally cool to deny majority-black districts on the basis of race. I think these are just #racist white people who don't want to allow blacks to be effectively represented.
Tell me you’re not an #Ohioan without telling me you’re not an Ohioan. I hail (and escaped) from rural southern #Alabama, where a hundred-mile step in any direction was like simply turning one’s head. Wall-to-wall #ignorance, #xenophobia, #racism, #illiteracy, and love for #WrongJesus were the scape to all our horizons. My first visit to #Ohio lifted a great weight from my shoulders - maybe I hadn’t been fatally born in the worst state after all.
