I've wanted to see it for years and by coincidence, we happen to be at one of my favourite campsites for stargazing. Lucky!

The lake monster is described variously as e.g. resembling a crocodile, beaver or dwarf-like creature, and is sometimes said to be a demon. The preyed upon any foolish enough to fall into or swim in its lake.

Went on an early morning stroll around ahead of the 4-hour bus ride home.

1st anniversary of joining Mastodon today, celebrated with a trip to the very lovely Bodnant Gardens, in the Conwy Valley.

The acers were looking particularly fine, all aflame for autumn.

One tale relates that the was rendered helpless by a maiden who let it sleep upon her lap. While it slept, the maiden's fellow villagers bound the creature in chains. Awakened it teared off its sweetheart's breast in revenge. Oxen pulled it out of the lake and dragged it through the mountains to Llyn y Ffynnon Las, the Lake of the Green Well, in Cwm Dyli, in Snowdonia.

A Welsh Mythological Swamp creature known as Afanc. It's believed to be demonic and can shift it's form as a crocodile or some sort of a dwarf.
