I've only just realised that William Russell died at 99 years old this week – he was one of the very first companions on Doctor Who. An entertaining actor, will be much missed. RIP.
On another social site, someone commented in a happy birthday post for Colin Baker asking what Colin Baker would think about the outfits that Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor wears.
While the question may be a wee bit coded, but I would take Ncuti's outfits over the dreck that Colin had to wear.
Wait, next week #DoctorWho is ALREADY the first part of the finale of this season?!
I fckin hate these short streaming show seasons, give it at least 10 episodes to allow us to connect to the characters (and the characters to have a little fun).
In a way, it kinda makes sense that the new writers to #doctorwho deliver a quote unquote "traditional" episode of doctor who while the people who've been writing who for decades try to break and toy with the format
My only critique of the last 3 episodes of #doctorwho all playing with the format and not being "normal" doctor who episodes is that the season is too short with only 8 episodes.
It feels like we're not getting enough time with the new doctor and companion
@forgottrek agreed, but, Yards was instantly a top-tier episode for me, and could end up there with Blink and similar eps that don't have much of the Doctor but are all-time favorites.
