Next keyboard is making this more pronounced with low profile switches for the thumb keys. If low profile swithcns and caps are too low I can just put on higher profile caps.
This spontaneous holiday project was the reason why I didn't work on most of the projects I actually planned for this week: re-arranging my #desk by rotating it 90 degrees and completely re-doing #cablemanagement with some longer cables. Had to put both speakers on desk.
Now, I'm much more flexible with my desk orientation.
Furthermore, it's now according to #ergonomic regulations with the window at the side and not behind monitors as before. 🤓
About a year since I got this #Lily58#ergonomic#MechanicalKeyboard to try to help alleviate my periodic hand and wrist pain. It didn't alleviate the pain; it eliminated the pain, and this #keyboard has been a joy to write with every single day since I started using it.
I recently bought a used Moonlander (covered here) but have barely touched it. I reset it to the default layout and took a few typing tests. The columnar layout is going to take time to get used to and I’d rather focus on my #Neovim key-combos first. https://youtube.com/watch?v=_uFZEb6fnkc&si=l8-KfkV6rBuaHa8K
Okay, so I finally made up my mind to buy an #Ergonomic#Keyboard again, now a column-staggered one.
I decided to get the Iris Rev. 8, as it has a reasonable amount of keys, it is hotswappable, I don't have to do any soldering, but still very customizable.
I have a new ergonomic keyboard and it is great and has helped. But also the scroll lock key is MUCH closer to the other keys than a normal keyboard and appears to be my new "power button next to the delete key" nemesis.
Hey, does anybody know things about ergonomic mice? My hands are very small and I have a bunch of RSIs and bad joints (my elbow and the nerves within are the worst, but my shoulder is bad also and my clicker finger needs a splint sometimes), and I'm once again idly thinking about getting an #Ergonomic mouse. Do they actually help?
Is it feasible to just have two mice plugged in and use whichever one feels best at the moment, or will that just result in a new and exciting stress injury?
There needs to be an #ergonomic#mechanical wireless #keyboard in a similar layout to the #Logitech Wave keyboard but with a volume dial instead of volume buttons. I haven't seen anything that's the exact same kind of non-split layout, and I prefer that over split because it's just curved enough.
@jaredj hey! so, i see you have #ergonomic#MechanicalKeyboards in your profile. I'm planning on getting my first one. Totally overwhelmed by all the options. Where do I start?
