@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online

I make videos sometimes, posts other times, and software yet other times. Supports BIPOC rights (& Black Lives Matter), LGBT+ (include the T) rights, disability rights, etc. #nobridge

Some projects I work on include #Retiled and #guinget. I discuss them using those tags, if you want to learn more.

I love #WindowsPhone the same way I love #XenobladeX, despite both's issues (I'm strange like that).
My profile picture is of Mitty, my longhair #calico #cat that I loved and miss so much daily.

Don't mind me, just reading the news while trying to figure out a issue where it doesn't download all the emails...

@thunderbird I don't know if there even is any problem or if it's just user error because multiple of my own tests on the computer just work fine. Thanks for trying to help, though.

If I did a thing with my own server, I'd call its version of a blog a "glog" instead of a "Gemlog" because it sounds better.

PSA: Resolve Studio requires the USB drive to remain plugged in and will check every few seconds for its presence.

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@stooovie Well that's a shame they require it now. I'd like to be able to have it plugged in just for the startup since otherwise it's sticking out of my computer.

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@stooovie Maybe they changed it back or it's a Windows thing if you don't use Windows.

It's a beautiful sunny day, I could take my bike and go somewhere not so far from here to witness the eclipse, but I can't because of my broken leg. This makes me sad... 😢

@vl_tone Hope it heals soon.

Filco makes keyboards? I thought they just made really nice and soft wrist rests (don't worry, I learned good typing posture and only use it when I don't need to type much, or when I'm not typing and need to put my elbow on something).

#Plasma6Mobile on #OnePlus6 - #postmarketOS edge.

Not much to say yet, but it feels quite smooth and I love the mode dark wallpaper.

@farooqkz If you haven't checked out Capyloon yet, it may be of interest as a modern FOSS fork of FirefoxOS. Not sure if you were referring to it or the original Boot 2 Gecko.

For the dedicated phone thing, that's basically Librem with the Librem 5.

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@farooqkz Yeah, I don't like how expensive it is, either, considering the PinePhone is a lot cheaper for almost the same features but with a little lower specs. Plus it's a bit concerning that they're doing an IPO thing.

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@farooqkz Initial Public Offering, stock market stuff. Yeah, but it's like $200 compared to the slightly better specs of the Librem 5 at $1000+. Comparing it to the PinePhone Pro is worse because that's still only $400. Granted I don't think the Pro is as well-supported as the standard one yet.

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@farooqkz It could be, I don't know. I think the camera is better, but I don't know if it's $800+ better.

Wait a minute. I don't have a cat!

Why is there a cat sitting on my headphones and CRT and controller and Teensy?

DrewNaylor,
@DrewNaylor@mastodon.online avatar

@foone I thought this was my cat for a second due to the lighting (I have a bluepoint) and was confused why I'd be looking at a picture of her that someone else posted.

I've updated my screenshots in the readme as the page on the wiki now has a screenshot but it was several months old and I figured I should update it, plus I figured out that I can just use Dolphin (the file manager) on my instead of Index to copy over my screenshots to a USB drive as Index doesn't run well and...

I thought was dead. Guess it was merely... resting there for a while. Those kinds of bills, like and , are a problem and I hate that they pretend that it's about protecting kids online when it's not, it's about control and , particularly of info kids (or anyone else) may need.

Oh boy, victim blaming! That'll make everyone who was in the data breach feel better! Do not use biometrics to log in, you can't change your iris or fingerprint, your fingerprint isn't as unique as everyone thought, and cops can force you to unlock a device locked with biometrics but not pin/password.

Looking forward to Plasma Mobile 6 coming out as stable so I can mess around with it and finally get some of my stuff integrated into a usable session instead of everything being apps that run in a plain window. Friendly reminder that panels and launchers are just applications (give or take) that you can develop like any other program, and that this realization is what made me understand that I can do my own shell stuff.

I'm happy with how much more stuff there is in the Tears of the Kingdom story. It may not be a whole lot, but it's way better than Breath of the Wild. Not done yet.
