Tip of the day: when troubleshooting #AppArmor profiles, don't forget to reload the profile with apparmor_parser every time you make a change to the profile.
Not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything... #facepalm#Linux
"Finance Minister Nicola... Willis isn't giving up on her tax relief centrepiece and told those gathered in Silverstream on Thursday morning that she knew how 'devastating it would be if we were to give up on overdue tax relief'."
I may have misread Jo Moir's intention there. But it just infuriates me that not only will those on benefits not get anything much from NatACT First's tax cuts, they're also effectively cutting benefits by changing the way benefit rises are calculated. All while restoring prescription charges and increasing the cost of public transport. So their answer to a cost of living crisis, is to take money from those with the least, and give it to mainly to those with the most.
Just understood the weird dryness in my right eye. We got kinda drunk Saturday. On Sunday morning I thought I had a kind of conjunctivitis.
I was starting to think the issue was really bad since drops didn’t help with the dryness even on Monday. Until this morning (Tuesday) coming out of the shower I looked at my stupid face close up in the mirror and saw a contact lens on my eye …forgotten for 3 nights.
"More than 180 New Zealand public agencies have transferred masses of data to Microsoft cloud computing servers in Australia for storage and processing since 2019. Sensitive courts data could be headed that way."
"The NDMS [National Disease Management System] was being hosted within a 'private isolated section' of Amazon's 'cloud' of data warehouse servers in Sydney."
When overcrowded buses replace train services, they should be free of charge. It's nowhere near the same quality of service, and charging for it is kind of rude. If it's free, it encourages train operators to do everything they can to avoid replacement bus situations.

> the 1980s-era buses we get don't have the technology. Ripped seats, hint of cigarette in the air, yes. Opal card terminals no
What your government needs to do is redirect huge swathes of public transport funding into Roads of Dubious Significance with no allowance for bikes or pedestrians in the budget. Like our enlightened coalition is doing #FacePalm.
