I remember in 2009 when the public option and Medicare expansion fell down and died. Lots of people every day since died who might have lived. Remembering them and their families this morning.

Biden promised a public option in 2020. is still popular, even among Republicans. anybody remember ? many more Dems (in addition to all Republicans afaik) are to blame for this than just Lieberman.

and what really sucks is the strategy of still voting Dem where it matters makes sense, no matter how many times they side with donors and people die, go bankrupt and our economy remains less competitive. kill the duopoly.

Seems like is going to become . This entire time, the Republican anti establishment movement seemed divided between whether they cared more about being hardcore conservative or making the process more transparent and accountable to voters. The former seems to have won. Returning the conversation to a culture war dialogue instead of a class war works for the Democratic party as well. Pathetic. They don't care about us.

Analyzing tactics: Against all odds, huge success (for the opposition)!

Mad at for being an ineffectual house speaker, professional nonce pushed for a vote to remove him. He and a few other extremist Republicans voted as well, and were joined by...
The entire Democratic party.

The Republicans were probably hoping for a Democratic show of civility and moderation. Nope... not today, Jack.

What did do for the Republicans?

  • Weakened them tremendously
  • Opened them up to failure
  • Caused them to fail
  • Brought several Republicans to discuss bringing a Democrat as the next speaker

In other words, it left the Republicans in ruin.

Which is why professional plants on the left like and are pretending it WORKED for , and are now begging Democrats to do it.
