There’s quite a range in sheens; from the mega-sheen of Kiwi Inks Quetzalcoatl, to the much more subtle sheen of Van Dieman’s Underwater Sea Urchin. The only sheen type I have that isn’t included here is the classic blue with red sheen, but I didn’t have any pens inked up with one of those at the moment.
This is one ink I was very meh about at first, but it slowly grew on me. It does some weird shading and has a green sheen that’s sort of a mild green tone.
Ishikawa Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the earthquake, is an area where crafts using lacquer and gold leaf are flourishing. We would be happy if you could include "Wajima-nuri" and "Wajima maki-e" fountain pens in your list of potential purchases when the recovery progresses and you are able to make fountain pens again. Does anyone else see what I see? I have two other pro gear slim medium fine but it looks almost like I am occasionally getting some line variation? I ain’t mad about it, it’s just different and I’m curious.
Den Konverter habe ich eben gerade mit ziemlich stark pigmentierter Faber-Castell Black Tinte befüllt, funktioniert einwandfrei! Ich brauchte den Konverter nichtmal zurückzudrehen, nach einer Minute konnte ich ohne weiteres Zutun losschreiben.
War ja anfangs wegen der EF-Feder etwas skeptisch, aber: guter Durchfluss, ohne dabei zu nass zu schreiben. Und so sieht der Füller zusammengeschraubt aus:

Planner: I’ll be sticking this year to the #Hobonichi day-free, which I also used last year. Amazon had the 2023 edition on clearance during Black Friday. It has the original Tomoe River paper, so I got three —after all, it’s day-free so I do my own dates anyway, and it’s probably my last chance to get a Hobo with original TR.
The 3.7mm grid is basically perfect for me, and I use two grids per line of text (7.4 mm between baselines).

Heute ist er angekommen, der #Jinhao159 (der "alte", ohne dem x davor). Was für ein geil schweres Stück, genauso, wie ich es mir - nachdem, was ich hier schon so zu hören bekommen hab - vorgestellt habe.
Satte 60 Gramm (inkl. befülltem Konverter) bringt er auf die Briefwaage, und mit dem Allugehäuse liegt er selbst in meinen Griffeln gut in der Hand. Die Feder ist mit Breite M angegeben, fällt aber geringfügig schmaler aus. Aber das erwarte bzw. erhoffe ich mir auch von einem chinesischen Hersteller. Genau so.
Alles für knapp über EUR 10,-- inkl. Füllerkonverter. Hab ihn nun mal mit der #EarlGrey von #DiamineInk befüllt. Hoffentlich kann ich schlafen... 😀
