This week's #TuneTuesday theme is #MyGenerationMusic. I was born in April of 1980, and there were SEVERAL great albums that came out that year.
But my top choice for that year has to be DEVO.
Devo released their third record Freedom of Choice in May 1980 with the magical song (and my favorite song on the album) 'Gates of Steel' opening up its second side.
snac2 has reached version 2.44, which is stable and undoubtedly suitable for more comprehensive use.
In the coming days, I'll likely declare this instance as stable and include it in BSD Cafe's services. Plurality and choice are fundamental in a free world.
"Whip It" is a song by American #newWave band #Devo from their third studio album #FreedomOfChoice (1980). It is a new wave and #synthpop song that features a #synthesizer, electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums in its instrumentation. The apparently nonsensical lyrics have a common theme revolving around the ability to deal with one's problems by "whipping it". Co-written by bassist #GeraldCasale and lead vocalist #MarkMothersbaugh. https://youtu.be/QDWlNv5XFFM
Ohio began early voting on Issue 1 about a week ago and is the only state taking up abortion rights this fall.
This is the second time Ohioans will take up abortion rights this year.
Hopefully #Ohio voters will put this to bed and get rid of the barbaric, draconian law that forced a ten year old little girl to go to neighboring Indiana get the care she needed. The law would have forced her to carry the pregnancy to term.
#linux will replace #windows in the future. As the usage gets easier, and #hardware#manufacturers ship linux, the #freedomofchoice will convince people to use it. #Microsoft relies too much on their monopol, which will eventually lead to their undergoing. I can't tell how long it will take, but it will happen. #changemymind.
