Some #GoogleIO thoughts from an old guy who hasn't been there in a few years:
$1800 for foldable. Ouch. Looks cool though.
Smart to throw in the watch for free.
Love the idea of the tablet. But I'm also old enough to remember the Motorola Xoom and its speaker dock (and Honeycomb!), right before it all got killed off.
Smart to include a dock for free, though. And $129 for a second dock isn't awful.
Did you miss Google's big developer event? This Magazine from The Verge has all you need to know, from new additions to the Pixel lineup to all the AI advancements.
For those wondering when the ‘What's New In #Android#Accessibility’ session is from #GoogleIO, it’s right after the dev keynote!
(As of this writing, dev keynote already in progress)
For real this part from #GoogleIO where these two people revealed how AI helped them build the least-fun, derivative, creativity-bereft, soulless video game ever devised was something straight out of Mythic Quest.
Meh, why didn't they integrate the new "#AI" features into Google Now / Assistant? That's the only place where I could see a benefit, since that's always been more a gimmick and nothing to take serious in the first place. #GoogleIO
Hardware looks interesting, especially that tablet + dock for that price. Although I didn't expect the #Fold to be that expensive. 😅😳
I love this dude. A true software engineer who has done demos on his software who knows that the more eyes you have on a demo, the more badly it will go.
