My favorite Julian Sands is "George Emerson" in "A Room with a View" (1986), the Merchant-Ivory masterpiece based on the E.M. Forster novel.
George is a quiet young man, transformed into an expressive, flower-smelling life-lover upon meeting and falling instantly in love with Helena Bonham-Carter while on holiday in Florence.
