Sometimes, briefly, I miss my days as an influencer online. That was never my plan, but as you know, the former Twitter used Algorithms. The more engagement you made, the higher your presence became. My followers have always been higher than the amount I follow. A measurement site, #KLOUT, scraped our Social Media accounts, looking for Influencers,and started raising my Klout Score by the day. Perhaps I had a slow week, and stayed at the 60 score?
#PERKS were the reward for your influence. Those ReTweets of no value, like RT "Hi Frank" might boost your presence in the Algorithm but didn't make you an #Influencer . You got that by generating carefully curated content, filling all the white space in your posts, with relevant content.
I was a #News hound. As a result of some PC/Internet skills, I could pull news from the internet faster than reporters could.
About those #PERKS : I'll speak a moment about #Neutrogena ™️ Skin Care products. Aren't they great? But, expensive. I'm retired, my pension even dropped a few years back. I struggle like you do.
