In January this year, I decided to start keeping tabs on how much fic I read in a month. I don't think I have shared those posts and/or numbers here, so here goes:
August fic reading stats: approx total of 752K words. (Not as good as July's 1mil 19K but still a good number.)
Finished my #CQL / #TheUntamed rewatch and now I have 28K (aka 58 pages) of episode notes and six (6) pages possible fork-on-the-road fix it points written down.
What's next? Should I be #writing? Or watching the special edition? or reading?

"Hear a song this deeply" (87k) by so_shyy is a modern cultivators AU. Lwj, estranged from his sect, works to restore the lost Lan musical cultivation. Ingenious wwx brings exhilarating duels & breakthroughs and sweet domesticity with A-Yuan in lwj's life. But where's all the resentful energy coming from?
This fic has wonderful characterization, lots of feelings & engaging plot. Simply perfect.
"A ferry crossing, a shared pillow" (23.5k) by kakikaeru is a no war AU #TheUntamed#fanfic where Wen Yuan grew up with the Yiling Wen who are close friends with #WangXian. He is invited to CR as a guest disciple where he meets ljy.
The story is beautifully written, the two getting closer is so lovely. I adored their characterization and the happy domesticity of Wen Yuan's life with his family. A perfect fic. #cql
"We all have a hunger" (23k) by KatAnni is a Cloud Recesses era getting together fic where things go wrong at a night hunt. Wwx is both vulnerable and a genius, lwj gradually realizes how kind and sincere he is. Plus lots of hurt/comfort. https://archiveofourown.org/works/47988160
"Quiet, blooming hours" (14k) by Sanguis is a modern AU with lots of magic. Mxy (pov character) is mysteriously resurrected in the garden of #WangXian & A-Yuan.
