@piratero if you’re comparing it to rap of today it’s not the same. These are true lyricists which we don’t really have any more. It’s like street poetry. They made their own beats from scratch and came from literally nothing. There’s a show on Hulu that tells their story. Wu Tang: An American Saga
Wu Tang Clan and Hieroglyphics are two of my favorite all time groups. I rank them higher than Eminem, and I don’t think Eminem would even be offended if I said that to his face.
Just as a clue to my extremely low standards for evaluating academic/scientific research: if it starts with a Wu-Tang quote, it is an automatic 5-star paper.

#WuTang were awesome. Everyone there except for Method Man. Awesome until #Nas took over stage. If you ever get the chance to see him live - take it. Don't ask, don't hesitate, just take the chance.
