Between rain, afternoon starts, travel day, and &+#*ing appletv, I'll go almost a week without being able to watch #BlueJays#MLB. Almost enough to forget about it.
My son loves to sit out on our front steps and feed the blue jays peanuts (in the shell). And now my wife and I have taken to doing the same. Jays are Corvids and that means they are very smart birds. They come around about the same time each day and announce themselves with various calls and screeches. We will attract upwards of 5-6 jays at a time; perching in the maple tree out front and diving to pick up peanuts we toss out.
Yesterday, our kid placed peanuts on a porch railing and set up his phone cam to shoot video of the thieves in action. No sooner had he stepped inside and the nuts were gone! Here is that video. #birds#birding#bluejays

I love Opening Day. It’s still weird without an official team, but that’ll change if Joey Votto makes it back with the #BlueJays or our man Jackson Wolf makes it to the #Pirates this season (he’s starting the year in AA.) In the meantime, it’s fun to cruise the games and root for individual players. (First rule: Always watch Mike Trout and Shohei hit.)
After going out all day yesterday, I really shouldn’t be surprised that I’m so exhausted and unable to do anything today. This is #seid. Plus, I stayed up late last night since my wife was working (from home) until midnight, which always happens the night before she takes a vacation day.
It took me all morning & afternoon just to put through an order for thread! I’m too tired to serge fabrics for pre-washing, so I’m tempted to pay for the sports channel for a day so I can watch #BlueJays…
