March is nearing its end, so it's time to look back at what I have done!
Let's start with gaming: I started and completed Stray this month and it was a fascinating little game that was short and very enjoyable. You play as a cat and that by itself is jusr wonderful.
I played a lot of Balatro and it gave me the idea for my own cardgame, which I am actively working on.
Civ 6 is another mainstay. I managed to beat a game with Elizabeth in my fourth attempt!
The #Civ5 Battle Royale is huge but the concept is pretty simple! On a massive world map, 61 AI Civilizations got at it to see which one can be the last one standing. No human intervention in the show as a several months long game is recorded and then curated into narrated episodes across the action. Three seasons have been recorded so far, and the 4th one is about to start on March 20.
@civfanatics on #Civ6 PC, is there a way after a game to replay what happened between AIs before you can see them on the map? In my last game it seemed like there was an interesting battle between a couple of AIs (which then devolved into Free Cities because of the imbalance problem in Dramatic Ages) but AFAIK there is no way to go back later and see what happened?
@luis_in_brief yes, indeed, #Civ2 and #Civ3 also had a replay feature, which went through all the important parts of the game. This is one of the features though, which doesn't have a gameplay impact, and I guess that is the reason why it got scraped, similar to e.g. the palace.
It seems there is also a spectator mod for #Civ6, in case you only want to see the AIs battle.
@Imperor well... I'm biased you know...
Don't play full price, since #Civ6 is old now. The platinum bundle is right now only 15€, Anthology 25.
The general feelings of the community are so that the real addons are worth it, but the civ packs are more small little contributions.
If you're unsure about how much time you'll spend, then just get the 2 addons, and wait and see.
Here's #Xbox's own version of my year in review. I was "top 5%" in each of hours played, Gamerscore, and Achievements unlocked. My three most played games were #BlackDesert, #VampireSurvivors, and #Civ6 (in that order). #ShareYourGames
Unfortunately, the way strategic view icons work, I’m gonna need at minimum, four completely separate illustrations for the wonder (two of them are seem to have just been flipped horizontally and reshaded)
Periodic reminder of why I hate Zombie Defense mode and how I got PotatoMcWhiskey to "at" me with the message "What have you done" nearly two and a half years ago
For the mid-month #Civ6 "Game Of The Month", we go with a true American spirit: You play as Abraham Lincoln of America on a standard size continents and islands map on Deity level. You must win via a domination or religious victory, on a hot and wet planet with abundant resources, but also with disasters and Barbarian clans. You have until December 15 to complete this challenge.
I started a game of #Civ6 last night to try and get my first religious victory.
I founded a religion called Honuism where we worship sea turtles and I’m working to spread it to all of the islands on the map… 🐢 🌊
I’m also leading in points, cultural and domination victory options - For not really knowing what I’m doing I think I am doing ok? :blobfoxcomfycomputer:
