Quality time.

Fathers like to bond with their sons by taking them to do the things that they enjoy doing.

In my father's case it was fishing and hunting. I spent endless hours sitting beside a river or traipsing over hill and dale.

He never talked unless it was to yell at me for doing something he didn't like, so the endeavor backfired for us.

I was happiest when we didn't catch any fish or shoot anything. And I never did either activity once I was an adult on my own.
