I'm getting #tired of #people responding to my "here's the #situation here today, and how the #engineering works out for this #problem" with #hopes and #dreams about how they wish the world was, or #anecdotes about how that problem doesn't exist where they are (which is utterly unlike here) so it doesn't matter.
And though #Elmo is probably the worst incarnation of a #misanthropic#billionaire, #Zuckerberg has only been less successful in his visions (#Metaverse...a, fortunately failed attempt at #TheMatrix), but has been more intelligent in hiding his character than the former.
How is the saying?--Only trust a billionaire as far as you can throw...
I would like to add that it is not a #misoginistic but a #misanthropic issue. It happens to all (perceived) weaker people.
However, I have long lost the Messiah or missionary complex:
I do not need to educate all people. I know it is not always possible, but ignoring them when not being able to show them how uneducated they are is also an option.
That sounds interesting.
However, there are a lot of people (like me) whose content is just "words."
As I state in my #bio, I do not want my content to appear outside the #Fediverse.
#METAstasizing into this separate cyberspace with its rules through activity pub is, IMO, not ok for many people.
Many sought refuge from toxic corporate platforms. Apart from dome bots and an #algorithm, it is still people who are #racist, #misanthropic, intolerant, etc.
