Started a new #medication for my #ADHD about two weeks ago and I've risen 5 levels in #Overwatch. I've been in Gold my entire 4,000 hours of playtime since Season 1, and have occasionally dipped into Platinum for a day or so when they made changes. I just rose from Gold 3 to Plat 3.
I think this counts as a "measurable" improvement for when I have my followup visit with the doctor. :face_smile:
Something I’ve noticed about the new #Overwatch character #Venture: yeah, they’re reminiscent of DPS Doomfist, except completely different in that they’re fun to play against even when they’re the problem. They’re like the opposite of playing against Sombra, the current most anti-fun character in the game by far.
Someone I play with occasionally says they think it’s because they lack the stun mechanism DPS-era Doomfist had and that’s certainly part of it, but I don’t know that it’s all of it.
Whatever it is, though, this is the best new character launch out of Team 4 in a long time. At least so far. (It’s a preview weekend so they’ll be rolled back out Monday until the full launch next season.)
So someone figured out an exploit through Blizzard's website to allow you to purchase skins for Overwatch 2 that are normally unavailable. Essentially, someone on Blizzard's side forgot to disable them and people discovered them by fooling around with the URLs. You still are very much paying for them with real money, not getting them for free or anything like that.
There's some fear that this will result in accounts being banned but I doubt it. This is an oversight by someone on their team, not something like item duplication. Also, the people who are buying these are the very people that make up the backbone of Overwatch's revenue, I would imagine. I'm sure Blizzard will be happy to wake up to a sudden influx of cash this morning.
I bought what looks to be an unused or dummied out development item that doesn't actually show up anywhere in game that I've seen. At this point, it's basically just a weird looking "TBD" type license on my account. I was just too curious to not give it a shot.
Anyways, I spent way too much money on Mercy skins this weekend.
I love how #Blizard announced that competitive #Overwatch play has become more popular, but then give the credit to every change they've made to the game other than reworking the competitive rank system and actually showing players feedback after every game instead of hiding rank changes for up to 19 games for absolutely no reason at all.
since it's vacation i'm actually up late enough to watch the Overwatch Champion Series JP region matches...the best team (VARREL) isn't playing tonight, but the meme team (NameKuji Brothers) is. NKB is running a comp with Roadhog and Lifeweaver.
