For the 2024 edition of #FOSDEM the #Monitoring and #Observability devroom received 61 submissions, a record high, and the average quality was also quite high.

Wie funktionieren denn in Django/Celery tasks? Ich hab hier einen PR für #pretalx, mit dem ich Gravatar-Caching implementieren möchte - der Task wird von Celery auch discovered, aber nicht aufgerufen.
Ich vermute, dass ich irgendwo noch sagen muss "mach den Task mal alle X Minuten" - aber wo?
Apparently @pycon🇮🇹 just moved its conference dinner to an outside venue, which is Most Excellent.
(There's already a mask mandate for indoor conference spaces.)
They're also using #pretalx in a very smooth way to manage not only conference tickets, but also hotel accommodation, social events, and extra activities (like a guided tour of Florence).
This is my first time, but it's already shaping up to not be my last.
