I'm in Iowa City for a few days, for the professional advisory board meeting at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication as well as the school's 100th anniversary dinner tonight. I got a few photos along the way.
Univ of Iowa's Caitlin Clark is now second in career scoring in NCAA women's basketball history. She scored 35 tonight in the win against Northwestern.
Took a short road trip to #UniversityOfIowa to watch my niece graduate. Super proud of her. She worked hard and absolutely earned her moment!
Decided to take the 10yo with me for the event and he had a blast.
The 10yo and I "discovered" a new taqueria in Iowa City, The Taco Depot. Open 5 months, but nobody has bothered to review them on Yelp. Is Yelp not a thing with college kids? My review is up. 😉 I hope they stick around because our #tacos were DELICIOUS. 🌮

It is only 4 people. With an occasional donated scan. The "seed" of this project came from #Scottish#StarTrek#fanzine publisher ScotsPress & editor Janet Quarton who published multiple Star Trek fanfiction zines & newsletters in the 1970s-1990s. She scanned her zines & uploaded them to her website (which will be coming down). She also scanned the fanzine collections of 2 friends before all 3 donating to #UniversityOfIowa. 6/n
