What I don't see discussed already here is that it depends on the relationship. Both of you being drunk is not the right time to decide for the first time that you want to do it, but if you've already made that decision and now happen to be drunk, whatever.
Consent and being drunk is not about a power imbalance, or at least not completely. It is about both parties' capabilities to consider the consequences of their actions. Will one or both regret what they've done later? How would they tell, if they were either of them drunk?
In which CGPGrey discusses ordering parts to replace inside of hotel A/Cs so that he set the room temp to 16º. Quite chilly, btw, why do you need that??
No. I have not. I think there has been a decent sized chunk of the population who has never had much interest in reading anything. That percentage has not made a noticeable spike.
I hear a lot of iPhone users in agreement that that phone is one of the first ones that has made them even briefly consider what life on the other side would be like.
But all of them also say they'll just wait for Apple to do it. I'm not convinced they will, but only time will tell.
Don't know if you've already heard about this or not, but I highly recommend looking into GrapheneOS on a Google Pixel. GrapheneOS is fewer headaches than lineageos, and the Pixel is easier to acquire. On the whole, it ends up being more privacy focused as well, despite the irony of being a Google phone.
I guess it comes down to the weight you give the word "possible" in your sentence. If possible means extremely likely (and there are logical reasons to believe so) then taking responsibility makes sense.
My wife and I started talking about this after she had to help an old lady at the DMV figure out how to use her iPhone to scan a QR code. We're in our early 40s.
I see a lot of expensive houses being built in my area. A LOT. And the weird thing is that they’re being bought pretty quickly. Are these people just making more money than me? If so, what are they doing for a living? Or are they just living house poor? How exactly are they affording these places?...
It’s no secret that Lemmy is shaping up to be a viable alternative to Reddit. The issue it faces however is that it’s still relatively niche and not many people know about it. I propose that we change this. By contacting the mods of large subreddits and asking them to make and promote relevant Lemmy communities we could...
Because Reddit sucks, and moderators know that better than the average user.
Plus, if they’re the ones that can make their communities on Lemmy or Kbin, they wouldn’t lose their power, just the majority of their subscribers.
That last reason is why most will say no. Still it’s worth an effort I think
