When I hear about a new game, I usually read the first sentence or two on Wikipedia. I rule out games described as certain genres or types, like soulslike or online-only multiplayer games. Then, I check reviews on a site like Metacritic. If the critic or user reviews (doesn’t need to be both) are good enough, I add it to a...
Only for their legit job I hope. That just sounds like a bad idea to be reporting your illegal activities and hoping the government doesn’t decide to use it against you later. Why take the risk?
As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t been posting weekly discussion threads the last few weeks. They weren’t getting too much traction and, more specifically, people weren’t engaging with each other, which is what I was trying to encourage. I wanted to take a break and rethink how I wanted to do it to achieve those...
I got back into Monster Hunter World, haven’t played it since they released Deviljho in the base game so I have a lot to catch up on. Currently HR 87 and holding off going to the expansion since I hear any gear in Iceborne is completely OP so I’m trying to milk the base game as much as I can.
Was Control being part of the Alan Wake Universe supposed to be a twist or was that already advertised when it released? If it was a twist, I wish I had experienced that first hand.
I know there’s occasionally some backlash to reviews that go against a broader positive reception to some media, but do that many people still follow reviews to decide what to check out?...
This issue really evokes my emotions, because of how much I love sports. I think sports are a vitally important part of the human experience. I guess dance is, too, but we’re not talking about dance, in and of itself....
Hmm. I got to thinking why I don’t feel the same way at work. I think the biggest difference between school projects and work projects is there was never a school project that I couldn’t do on my own. I can’t say the same for work projects, they are a different beast. There are roles I can’t do or don’t want to do.
I have old Facebook and Twitter accounts, maybe some others. I’m old so there’s a MySpace account out there. But I’ve mostly been using reddit the last decade or so, and have migrated to Lemmy. Now, Lemmy is the only social media i use. Recent news got me thinking about this question.
It could just be in my head but after having subtitles on for the longest time, I noticed I struggled hearing dialogue when I finally did stop using subtitles. Continued to stop using subtitles and my hearing got better. Use it or lose it, I guess.
I prefer to buy video games without knowing anything about them
