Last friday, I have received a takedown request from a company representing Apple, requesting I remove a parody account that is Apple on my instance.
They are claiming that it attempts to "mislead users into believing that the account is sponsored by or affiliated with Apple when that is not the case".

I am convinced that the account was legally in the right as it was very obvious that it is a parody account, but unfortunately I am powerless against a gigacorporation in court as they could just financially ruin me if they feel like it.

Therefore, I would like to warn everyone NOT to create Apple parody accounts using Apple's logo and word mark on your instances, as this would be violating Apple's intellectual property and would waste the time and money of the law firm that actively scours the internet for these types of accounts! ​:neocat_o_o:​

I love it when plural systems reffer to themselves using we/us. It sounds really cool but it's also the appropriate thing to do

sometimes plurality be like i know theres 3 of us here right now and one of us (🫒Liv) is the one thats overall doin stuff but it's so blurry that calling myself a name seems misleading
