I have enough trouble with mint sending its tendrils under and across the property, blackberry plants are verboten. (Love the fruit, do not want the plant.)

@Axomamma oh I have my dogs perform that task for us. 😂

I’m prepping this house to sell, I want it to be someone else’s problem. The blackberries haven’t been too much trouble, I usually get an intruder 3 or 4 times a year, I just dig out the visible part when it shows and I’ve been good with that.

Sorry I take this back. There’s a dramatic sequence that has an unseen rape of a peasant bride to be at the hands of a privileged upper class man. I’m missing the point of this part.

@Axomamma yeah, I understood once it was all over, I just didn't anticipate any actual dramatic elements in this. The other segments were more travelogue, so I got partway through fascinated with that, then they get to the "presenting the bride" to the local patron part and it all just took a very dark tragic turn that took til the end to realize the purpose.

In March of 1997 WIRED Magazine published their cover story on how browsers might soon disappear as everyone would prefer stuff pushed to them instead of discovered via following links.

It was widely panned and browsers are still very much alive today but I have to say when I look at Instagram and TikTok, those are all-Push content apps and maybe WIRED got it a little bit correct?

@mathowie they probably featured Pointcast in that article. An interesting product that the internet and people's bandwidth was not quite ready for. (I think it was likely mismanaged too.)

We took a 15 minute drive to the farms nearby to get a more expansive view. I’d love to say “this is what my eyes saw” but it isn’t. I’ve learned the camera really intensifies the color. That said, it was still a thrill, very first time I ever saw and I hope it may last another night, I know of a high train trestle bridge nearby I’d love to photograph in front of the glow. (Location: off West Union Road just east of North Plains by the Rice Rock Museum.)
