Brahm1nmam,

It’s an iOS feature, I’m pretty sure. Works on just about any hyperlink I think, I just sell the things though. I don’t actually use them.

Brahm1nmam,

Where do you need a license to get a damn goat?

Brahm1nmam,

Seconding Tail scale, if you have already tried it though, there is also ZeroTier

Do you pirate? And do you justify pirating? i.e., what is your piracy philosophy?

Well, my friend, he’s kinda poor he can’t afford some books and some streaming services, so he pirates. He pirate books, audiobook and videos and other stuff. Sometimes he buys books he likes a lot out of loyalty to the author (yeah, I don’t understand it either), he likes to read physical books, but yeah, if he hates the...

Brahm1nmam,

I used to pirate a lot more when I couldn’t afford to fill my media desires. Nowadays I’m a bit more principalled, I’m not paying collector prices for old super Nintendo games for instance. That shit gets emulated and if I’ve already bought a game on console, especially if I bought a standard and “complete” edition, I’ll likely piratd a PC copy for modding and the like.

<span style="color:#323232;">Though sometimes a piece of art is created by a morally bankrupt company and while I typically just ignore the things they produce, sometimes I really want to try it, so I pirate it.

How many ingredients does it take to call it a salad?

My significant other ate cucumbers and onion with some ranch. I called it a cucumber onion salad. She says there aren’t enough ingredients to call it a salad, because “it takes multiple ingredients”. I pointed out she had three and asked what the minimum is. She refuses to answer so I ask Lemmy.

Brahm1nmam,

So the first point is simply false, the second point is symptomatic of the third point which is simply an example of a poor policy.

Also the second half of the third point is completely fucked off. If new construction were exempt from rent control then your ROI would be better on building units than buying units.

I've been blocking ads for so long that actually seeing them feels perverse

I use ad blockers and open source privacy focused software whenever I can but occasionally I have to use computers that don’t belong to me or an older phone where my usual applications aren’t installed and seeing all the advertisements just feels dirty and dystopian....

Brahm1nmam,

Change your dsn to dns.adguard.com

Edit: Firefox on Android has unlocked origin as well nowadays

Brahm1nmam,

The way they’re viewed really isn’t the problem. Someone being imprisoned and forced to work really isn’t affected by the man with the whips opinions of them, because of they slave away they don’t get whipped. They’re existence has been stripped too bare for such distinction to make a difference. Slavery is like war and war never changes.

Brahm1nmam,

I find you’re inclusion of your sources to be quite… Attractive.

Brahm1nmam,

The unripe ones are firmer and can handle long truck rides a bit better

Brahm1nmam,

I call them “pavement princesses” since they’re driven by office types most often who have no interest in offroading, which is the original intended use for lifted rigs. They’re all rich sissies that want a giant truck for taking their fifth wheel to the lake because they’re scared of driving a bus

YSK: Browsing "ALL" at work might get you pulled into an office, even with NSFW off.

Why YSK: It appears several Lemmy Instances are flagged as suspicious and at least 1 instance intentionally using the name of ransomware. A couple of the big enterprise monitoring suites (Fortiguard, ZScaler) will flag your account and may end up with you being pulled into an office for an explanation, or worse....

Brahm1nmam,

Most corps block vpn traffic, I know there are ways to “tunnel” traffic to get around this but I’m not very familiar with them

Brahm1nmam,

People definitely do say those things. They are terrible memory hogs compared to other WebKit alternatives

Brahm1nmam,

I get it costs money to develop accessibility, but you can’t rip off a blind man if he can’t navigate your sight. I truly don’t get it.

Edit: site, not sight

Brahm1nmam,

It doesn’t have to be an answer that’s for everybody

Brahm1nmam,

The fuck did you just call this? The threadiverse? Nu-uh, fuck the meta fucks, this is the Fediverse.

Brahm1nmam,

Ah shit, I’ll eat my crow. I’m new here, sorry for the ill-informed jackassery

Brahm1nmam,

You can usually go launch with the games executable, even if it’s already started updating!

What's the point of buying new phones every years?

Other than your carrier give it for free or cheap, I don’t really see the reason why should you buy new phone. I’ve been using Redmi Note 9 for past 3 years and recently got my had on Poco F5. I don’t see the point of my ‘upgrade’. I sold it and come back to my Note 9. Gaming? Most of them are p2w or microtransaction...

Brahm1nmam,

Point 4 is more important than some may think, you can dial 911 without an active SIM. For this reason alone I have old phones in all my gloveboxes.

Plus a couple years ago my folks were floating the river and their dry bag somehow stopped being I dry bag, I don’t remember the story cause I wasn’t there. But, when they got home, I was able to set them up with passable phones while the ones they ordered online came in the mail.
