Why on earth do people try to drive to the great Glebe garage sale. Mayhem! Anyhow, I am amused and laughing at people in cars. And I called in a bunch of parkistswho have taken over my little neighbourhood streets
@grivettcarnac weird. When I lived around there the sidewalks were always cleared really well and super quickly. I guess it’s because the mayor lived in the area. I mean he probably still lives there in his beige house (I kid you not) but he ain’t the mayor anymore
Okay! I have Saturday off for my birthday, and I plan to spend the day riding around. Where should I go? Most car-free routes, under 40k round trip (live near Bayview Station for reference), and I'll have one friend with me (weather permitting). Open to food destinations, but only if enjoyed outside.
Go! #ottbike
(Not Gatineau Park, unless someone wants to lend me an ebike)
@Laskinator I know you like beer so I vote for this place. In Gatineau but flat! https://a-la-derive-st-joseph.myshopify.com/ amazing beers and we had some yummy poutine too. I went with @Auxonic I guess you might have to call and see if the patio is open. But there is definitely outside seating
There was a lot that happened on this ride, missed turns, missing pedestrian tunnels, closed mups and roads and I won’t bore you with the details but look at my sammich. #Coffeeneuring ride number 4.
@bikeottawa I live on a small road that goes through to col by and the canal and I definitely never see people biking to the canal with canoes and kayaks. Never ever!
Killer good breakfast #ottbike this morning. Just forget the cluster cuss than is privatized Lansdowne choked with driving and security fencing for some dumb event.
Sunday #Cycling; 24.9 KM around #Ottawa Lowertown to Rideau Canal to Hog's Back, then to New Edinburgh for brunch, and then back into Lowertown. Pretty nice morning ride, overall.
And as @Brekkyneuring requested last week, a photo of said brunch noms.
If you live in Little Italy in Ottawa or nearby, I cannot recommend the Preston Compounding Pharmacy - in the same little area as the Preston Appletree clinic - enough. They are the nicest people and are so super proactive that it makes prescription management so easy.
They are a dream after my ridiculous problems with Rexall. I wish I'd switched sooner.
@ladybugspicnic I did it! I switched the one prescription that we have right now and they were great :) thanks for the recommendation. So glad I don’t have to bike west of the o train path anymore. Except to visit Sarah and Kevin 😝.
